Manila Ocean Park's underwater tunnel is quite short compared to those of other oceanariums around the world. It is only 25 meters (82 feet) in length. But for Filipinos like me who will never be able to scuba dive for one reason or another, it is still a real treat. It was awesome to just stand there and watch all the fish swimming around and above you. It was the first time I saw the underside of a
stingray, with its mouth and gills.
Natural or man-made, take a refreshing dip in Watery Wednesday.
en effet on dirait qu'elle rigole (un beau smiley). belle photo de cette raie
ReplyDeletein effect they would say that she has fun (a smiley nice). nice photograph of this stingray
Yay! That stingray...Hoping to visit ocean park sometime.
ReplyDelete& this provides the perfect photo opportunity too!
ReplyDeleteThey look so funny seen from below! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is really funny... behind a glass!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to take a few shot at the Ocean Park.
Hilda, you really got a good picture of him from underneath! That is fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThey make a good model; they're cute. I bet the ocean park is full to the rafters every single day.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks almost human...Definetely not as dangerous as it is. Lovely shot. Ciao. A.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice! Thanks for sharing. Not everyone would have the opportunity to have a closer look like this one.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!!
That's a big 'un. My son caught one once (not this big) off Florida. I don't think they'll bother you but you have to be careful you don't step on one.
ReplyDeleteOf course, if you step on me, I'm going to be a little unhappy, too.
Nice shot, Hilda!
Great shot! Looks like a ton of fun.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic photo. I think rays are such weird-looking things.
ReplyDeletewow It is immense!I think I will be afraid of so near of the glass!
ReplyDeleteGreat Watery Wednesday!

wow, looks like 25 meter is enough to get some cool shots!
ReplyDeleteI like these underwater tunnels, they give a great view of the fish - as you show!
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's just cool! But...he looks a little sad, doesn't he? Like he's frowning? Maybe he's just concentrating.
ReplyDeleteNice photo! I have seen them in captivity but never photographed any.
ReplyDeletecool! without your commentary i thought it was an underwater shot.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully unique!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Am sure i would visit this place someday and see this smiling water creature. Can't you see he is smiling at you?

I need to find a place like this, because I'm pretty sure me and SCUBA wouldn't mix. Plus I don't have any kind of underwater photo gear.
ReplyDeleteBut this? This would be cool!
Neat! We got to swim with the rays while in Antigua - it's a very interesting experience.
ReplyDeletePS: Your blog also gave me plenty of topics for conversation with our cruise waiter. He was from the Manilla area and I feel like I sort of know the city through your blog. :)
Funny face!!! IIf I'm not wrong, in Italy this fish is called "Razza".
ReplyDeleteThis is great picture! Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteNice shot! Rays are so graceful swimming through the water.
