Red Box is an upscale karaoke entertainment center franchised from Hong Kong. They have lounges in China and Malaysia, and they have three branches in Metro Manila—one each in Makati City, San Juan and Quezon City. Aside from karaoke, some of their rooms are set up with poker tables and billiard tables! I've never been inside one of those special rooms, but I was just thinking: wouldn't it be difficult to concentrate on your game if someone's singing?
Maybe that's the point.
ReplyDeleteGet me up there singing and people will throw their money away just to get out of the place.
ReplyDeleteThis thought occurred now in my mind "I would love to see Cezar singing there! " LOL
ReplyDeleteDon't tell him that I told you but I think he has a gift voice! It's a pity that he is so shy!
I have never tried it, I mean Karaoke but I guess it would be very funny!
Great picture Hilda!
I think you should try ! ;-)

I've been to a similar thing in Cagayan. The place is called Loreto's and there are different rooms each decorated differently. The memorable one for me was the coca-cola room. There are a lot of coca-cola memorabilia all over the place. Its really cool. But I prefer playing billiards rather than singing. My singing quota per night is only 3 or else I'd lose my voice or worse heheheh
ReplyDeleteI kinda like their logo. It has an optical illusion in it.
ReplyDeleteBuenos Aires Photo
What a superb photo, Hilda! Love it! Don't care about karaoke but sure do like the sign!
ReplyDeleteI also like the logo and your picture of it. I know karaoke is very popular in China and it looks as if it is popular in Manila as well.
ReplyDeleteI have a vague memory of several years ago being very drunk and trying to sing/yell at a karaoke bar, and thinking the words on the screen were too fast and making me dizzy.
ReplyDeleteBtw, the sign does look pretty nice. No more karaoke for me though.
Really cool photo. It does appear to glow 3D. Thanks for sharing your find.
ReplyDeleteI like the sign too! It's very colorful and quite eye-catching.
ReplyDeleteI think you took your husband there so you could sing your heart out...:D
ReplyDeleteI love the running feet in the other post. Its very cool!

I think it would be kind of cool to go to a place like that. I like the logo too, it is cool
ReplyDeleteVery colourful. It has an 80's feel about it!
ReplyDeleteLike a moth, I feel attracted to the bright, pretty lights. I think I'd find the singing distracting, especially if I was losing.
ReplyDeleteCool sign Hilda. One of these days you're going to have to go in there and sing your heart out. Of course we are all going to want to see the video.
ReplyDeleteI can't do any of the three things, this is clearly not my place...
ReplyDeleteBut the sign is gorgeous! Nice shot.
Great logo... Singing and playing cards... uhm, peculiar!
ReplyDeleteIn Singapore, it is called 'K-Box' :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the celebration photo on the dp which you've commented, it's about
