Local

Manila has a local version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame: the Eastwood City Walk of Fame, located in the mixed use complex that is Eastwood City in Quezon City.

Eastwood City Walk of Fame

Calling all City Daily Photo bloggers yet again! Time flies by so fast and it's less than a week until our next theme day. The theme for February 1 is Wood. (I'm going to like this one again. I love the many textures of wood!) The poll for the March theme closes on January 31, so please vote and spread the word!

  10. Olivier, Don:
They're all local Filipino actors so I doubt if any of you would have heard of them. These three in particular acted mostly during the 1940s and 1950s; I just know of them because their old movies were shown on TV when I was in grade school.

    AFV:
And you were probably not even born yet when their movies were shown on TV! :)

  16. I like this kind of tourist attraction even though I find a bit silly. I've seen the ones in Hollywood and London and a "palm" version of it in Cannes. Didn't know that Manila has one too.

  17. I don't know much of these stars, but I suppose they are famous there. A very nice idea anyway!

  18. The local walk of fame is a pretty good idea and is probably good for local business and a source of local pride.

  19. Never been to that place. Sure na bibisitahin ko yan sa bakasyon ko.

Kilala ko lang si Jaime dela Rosa dahil sa mga kwento ng Nanay ko.
