Two more luxury residential condominium towers in Rockwell Center, and the last of the series for now. On the left is Hidalgo Place, which is across the
Ateneo Professional Schools. On the right is the Rizal Tower. This photo is deceiving in two ways. One, Hidalgo Place is a long, rectangular building and this is only its narrow end. Two, Rizal Tower is much farther than it looks here. It is 47 floors high, compared to Hidalgo's 24.
Hilda great example.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they're right next to each other and the same height! Magic :)
ReplyDeletePlaying with perspective and perseption are fun aspects of photography as you have shown here. The buildings along with the sky and trees makes a very nice picture.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine myself living at the top ... paano kung may lindol ... another human marvel....
ReplyDeleteI like looking up at them. Lois Anne would love to live at the very top with a flimsy little balcony to look out over.
ReplyDeleteThat I could not do!
A truly beautiful photo, Hilda!
A truely impressive photography of yours !
ReplyDeleteChapeau !
Please have a wonderful Wednesday.
Tricky, tricky! You sure did find some fancy buildings to show us but then, based on their size, you didn't have to look very hard to spot them!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, palm trees!
if you didnt mention the floors, i would have not notice that one is taller than the other. hmmm.. good perspective huh!
ReplyDeleterien ne vaut un bel exemple, bravo
ReplyDeleteNow this is what we called an optical illusion, that's the magic of our lens indeed... great view.
ReplyDeleteWow I've never looked at those buildings this way! Weird how they look the same.
ReplyDeleteHey Ma'am Hilda! I've a new photoblog (yet again) and I'm determined to keep it up. Hopefully I'll get to register at CDP too! It's at www.in-manila.blogspot.com

This has been such an interesting architectural tour. thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you might be able to peer right into your neighbor's abode. But I think that's just an effect of the perspective!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and so modern!I think the view from the top is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this cool lesson! :)
Hugs

That's a really cool photo - without the info it would be a whole other idea about both of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing a couple more of Manila's beautiful buildings. I've really enjoyed this series.
ReplyDeletethe thing an angle can do, i'm amazed how your mind works, not only is it well photographed, you really do think about it before taking a shot.^0^
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they both have amazing views, but I still would rather be on the first floor!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading your description I can only say this is a fantastic shot!
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing about the perspective a photo can make.
ReplyDeleteNice perspective trick, more than twenty floors shrinked in...
