Unknown jungle

A view of Pasay City from a balcony of Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila. Except for the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, I rarely have reason to go to Pasay and know next to nothing about it.

  4. Interesting how we find what we need close to home and don't always go far afield.

  6. Uhmn... how about the SM MAll of Asia? Teka, sa Pasay po ba 'yan o sa Paranaque? Bigla tuloy akong nalito.

Do you also have a night photo of the same area? Must be very nice during the night, as well. o",)

Heehee, I've never been to SM Mall of Asia! And to tell you the truth, I don't feel any need to go. One SM Mall is the same as any other, big or small. Besides, in terms of store floor space, it's been overtaken by SM City North EDSA, which is so much closer to our house. This is still mostly Pasay, though the rightmost might be ParaƱaque already. I honestly can't tell, not being familiar with the buildings of either city. No night photo, though. We went down to see the sunset from the other side of the hotel.

  8. Isn't that interesting - how we can live in a place and somehow not become familiar with a large portion of it. I feel the same way about several large cities in which I've lived...whole sections I know nothing about.

    Love the photo, though!

Re your comment on Cedar Key: Have not eaten at the pizza joint...probably won't as there are other, better places, to eat on the island.

We'll have lots of people moaning about eating too much turkey tomorrow which is our Thanksgiving Day. Not me, though. I'm going to be a good boy! :-)

  9. I love that skyline. It's a postcard perfect image. And that's Pasay/Makati area?

My brother used to live in Pasay, near the Mkt border, but never seen it this way. Maybe because that was decades ago :)

    Happy weekend.
