Last Thursday, my husband and I went to the wake of the mother of a friend who, it turns out, is a good friend of the President of the Philippines, Benigno Simeon Aquino III.
I'm afraid this isn't a very flattering photo of the President, but it was the clearest of several photos I took. I discovered that the man moves a lot and has a very animated face.
He appears to be speaking passionately about something.
ReplyDeleteOh, lucky you to get a photo of your president.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I like this photo, so vivid.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately the streets were closed and the public was not allowed anywhere near when Obama drove by, here in Jerusalem.
ReplyDeletewas there a lot of security because of the president's attendance?
ReplyDeleteI think this photo of the president is quite good. It was wonderful that he could attend the wake and you could see him. I'm not sure something like that could happen here.
ReplyDeleteIt's very hard to get a good picture when a president won't stand still. Next time, ask him to pose for you! Sheesh! Or, could it be you were so excited at seeing him, you couldn't hold the camera steady? ;)
ReplyDeleteYou really captured that animated energy, though sorry it was in context of a sad event.
ReplyDeleteHe has a bit of the crazy eye in this shot. But must have been neat to hear him speak on such a personal level.
