Meet Migs Villanueva, a friend and one of the artists featured in the Duetto exhibit. She was a classmate of my husband when he was still studying for his Master's Degree in Creative Writing, and I always thought of her as a writer. In fact, she has won first prize twice for her fiction in the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, one of the most prestigious literary awards in the Philippines. It turns out that she has been a painter longer than she has been a writer. The two paintings in the photo are hers.

I like both the portrait and the paintings.
What a talented woman.
I am currently reading a biography of Walker Evans, a famous photographer. He also started out as a writer and combined his writing and photography. Similarly, I just finished a bio of the photographer Diane Arbus who also thought of herself as a writer earlier in her career.
It seems to me as if some people are just creative then find various avenues to express that creativity.
I like that you didn't go for the usual long perspective shot but that you tilted the camera and foreshortened the pic. Gives feeling of depth while still focusing on your subject. Nice dress!
Congratulations to Migs for her exhibition.
I love the composition! Beautiful snap-shot with brownish colour, perfect!
