I posted a photo of a tricycle, the king of Manila's smaller roads, back in March. This is what it looks like inside the sidecar when you're a passenger. We were riding down Katipunan Avenue (yes, Avenue—five lanes wide each way) in Quezon City which has signs every hundred meters or so saying that "Tricycles are not allowed on the whole length of Katipunan."
wow, I love all those different perspectives. Just like being there! Great angle too. Also like your new banner up top. Hmmm. How did you put all those individual pics in there? Neat.
ReplyDeleteah tricycles...can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em at least for me)
ReplyDeleteI've got on tricycle one time, when I visited Muntinlupa city.
ReplyDeleteInteresting view. Too bad you can't actually see out the window. Or maybe that's a good thing?
ReplyDeleteHaha that's funny.
ReplyDeleteThat would make me crazy if I couldn't see where I was going. Then again, if the traffic is wild, perhaps ignorance is bliss.
ReplyDeleteThank you for you comments on my blog recently.
a lot to read as you ride.
ReplyDeletewhat? tricycles are not allowed in katipunan anymore? and 5 lanes ? did they remove the side road there and what happened to the beautiful acacia trees lining the road? on no- i'm so sad. i haven't been there for a long time, i used to live there during my college years and a few more years after it. oh so sad. i have to check it next time i come to the philippines.
