  1. A-ha! That's a nice one for theme day!

  2. Man! That IS pretty sad.

On the bright side, the metalwork is a cheery shade of yellow.

...Well, it's kind of a faded mustard yellow, which isn't the cheeriest shade of yellow there is. But at least it's cheerier than gray. :)

    (Neat selection for the theme!)

  5. Indeed, it says a lot. Despite all our comforts and conveniences, we aren't so very civilized....

You asked if these were storm clouds. "Louis" thanks you for your concern, but not to worry, Hilda. It's just a thick blanket of fog!

  6. LOL on the yellow, Josy!

And I didn't even know what the theme was until I posted the photo and started visiting. I keep forgetting to check the forum and join. Bad, bad memory…

  8. This would have worked well for Theme Day. No matter, it's a very interesting photo. Sad indeed they have to be caged.

  9. Yes, as Josy points out, look at as an opportunity for art, when it comes down to it.

  10. Very peculiar but unfortunatelly understoodable...

Thank you, Hilda, for the 'praying hands' tree tip! :-)

  11. Hilda - about the fog on San Francisco Bay. Often it is high as in the Sky Watch image rather than hanging close to the ground as you might expect. "Louis" et Mme. la Vache live on the 14th floor. Sometimes they have to shut the balcony door as the fog will roll right in to their living room!

  12. L'électricité en cage : ce n'est pas très beau mais c'est un bon témoignage de la réalité. C'est vrai qu'avec un peu de ciel bleu et quelques petits nuages blancs cela aurait fait une réalité plus souriante !

  13. This is a shocking. I forget living on an island what life can be like elsewhere. The uk mainland in parts would be even closer guarded. Excellent observation on the theme.
