Two months ago, I wrote about Bookay-ukay, the used-books store that opened near our house. We recently visited again and they now have shelves. Yay! No more squatting and aching knees! They also seem to have expanded their merchandise—there was a rack of scarves and T-shirts in one corner, and a sign announcing hand drums for sale. I wonder what they'll have next time we visit…

Neat! Shelves are a good thing, especially in a bookstore.
looks and sounds like a wonderful place. would love to visit it if i go to Manila.
hey,Hilda, I just posted the photo of my school lib at night, hope you like it~
Where is this place again?
Hihi I like the name. And its great they finally have shelves! And no music/noise anymore? =)
I brake for used book stores.
Amazing. I'm glad they got shevles, it seemed so strange a bookstore would NOT have shelves.
I could watse a serious amount of time in there. That is book heaven.
elle s'agrandit cette boutique, j'aime bien tous ces livres partout, je pourrais y passer toute une journée ;o)
it enlarges this shop, I like all these books everywhere, I could spend all day ;o)
Maybe books are not enough to keep the shop going?
Looks like a great place to spend an afternoon!
The bookseller must be effective to find you a book!!!
Which mess
now all they need is a coffee bar...
Those shelves must be groaning under the strain of all those books! I agree with Ken Mac - coffee shop!
A dangerous place to have nearby....
I think if I went in there I'd never be able to leave. What a great place.
The title you gave to this post made me smile, because it really is so much easier for us when they exist! :-)
Hilda, I'm so glad you are enjoying my travel blog! It is so good to know that the moments I have lived on my visits to other places are being shared with someone who do appreciate them! Thank you!
Agnes:
Bookay-ukay is at the corner of Maginhawa and Mahusay Streets in U.P. Village, Quezon City. Across Holy Family School.
it's my dream to have a bookshop, as of now im contented w/ my online bookstore :)
Shelves are good, especially since I inevitably want the book at the bottom of the pile.
Thanks for the info. Is this shop open on Sundays? I might drop by this weekend if it is.
