A rainy day sunset taken from somewhere in the middle of
Manila Bay. I'm not sure, but I think the hills are those of the
Bataan Peninsula, which separates Manila Bay from the
South China Sea. (If someone can tell me how to take photos of sunsets without getting that red spot, I'd really appreciate it!)

un ciel tout en or, c'est magique....
ReplyDeletea golden sky, it is magical....
This is a very lovely photo. The sun makes the water look like melted gold. So cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog - yes that is half of the Wabash Avenue Bridge that is raised up in the air in the Thursday (5/7) picture. Bridges over the Chicago River are all draw or lift bridges.
That is a spectacular sunset photo, Hilda. I didn't notice the faint red until you mentioned it, shhh :)
ReplyDeleteSuperb job, Hilda!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky shot. Happy Skywatch Friday!
ReplyDeleteI would not have noticed the red spot either! This is a gorgeous picture Hilda. I really like the way the light is shining on the water!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to get rid of the red spot - but the photo is beautiful anyway. The sky has a magnificent color.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!!!
Wow, a golden sunset! How beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHilda, That is so beautiful. I don't picture most ferry rides as being romantic but with a sunset like that, wow.
ReplyDeleteYou always have nice photographs, Hilda. This one is no exception. It is very nice too.
ReplyDeleteLovely golden sunset.
ReplyDeleteThis is still a lovely sunset.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! I have better luck when I take the filter off the lens when doing a sunset. Don't know if you use filters or not though. But that little bit of flare doesn't hurt that photo a bit.
ReplyDeleteDear Hilda!
ReplyDeleteThis picture is outstanding!
Many thanks for sharing
Have a nice weekend in your beautiful Manila!
God bless you
Léia :-)

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I had to look for the red spot. I didn't notice it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a superb photo. What a stunning view! Thanks for sharing! Great!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sunset.
ReplyDeleteI always count the red spot as "success" - in my photo book, it means I got the shot right :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a perfect shot, never mind the red spot Hilda, hehehe..I love the golden sunset here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunset.
ReplyDeleteWell Hilda, I think it's unanimous. The picture is so good the red spot doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteWhat red spot? Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi hilda, I actually haven't looked at my sunset photos closely. I have to check if I also have that red spot. hihihi
ReplyDeleteThis golden sky is beautiful !
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful golden sky and reflection! Didn't notice the red until you pointed it out.
ReplyDeleteI agree, don't worry about the red spot, the shots is gorgeous anyway!
ReplyDeletewonderful view! There is nothing like being on the water.
ReplyDeletebeautiful sunset. Love the way it high lights the water. Re the red spot, I've no idea!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful picture. I wouldn't worry about the flare spot. But if you do want to prevent it. You need a lens hood. Here is a wikipedia blurp for info:

beautiful! maybe a little less of contrast will help. not so sure.
ReplyDeleteHi Hilda. Thanks for visiting my blog. I really like your pictures on here- am now following! I wasn't sure what you meant when talking about 'the red spot' when you commented on my blog. I don't have a lens hood on my dslr so I'm sure that is not the reason you get it (although a lens hood can't hurt I guess). I looked at several ways to avoid the red spot- here I found the most useful comments:

Point directly at the sun (i.e in centre of pic) and the flare is hidden in the image of the sun.
Also can be removed after. There's a link to how to do that in that forum.
Bye :)
