Kamirori, a Japanese restaurant along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, serves uni (sea urchin) sashimi in cucumber cups with calamansi, a little plate of soy sauce and a dab of wasabi paste. Do you think you can eat it? I can't. This was my friend's order, not mine.
Maybe, I don't know I'd give it a try though.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly is a pretty dish! I'm not sure if I could eat it, but like James said, I'd give it a try.
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't not think I would be able to eat it. Unfortunately, it does not lool very appealing to me.
ReplyDeleteNo, but thank you very much for offering. I think I'll pass. 9Just look at it!)

Your photo makes this look quite attractive...then I read your comment.
ReplyDeleteI'll pass!
Please pass the burger and fries my way.
ReplyDeleteSorry... I don't like Japanese food. I don't know why. Might be the taste not like Indonesian food, hahaha...
ReplyDeleteI looks pretty but I could never put it in my mouth. Wasabi should be illegal :P
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteIn Japan, they usually use Nori instead of cucumber.
Could make me believe it's going to taste like meatloaf and mashed potatoes? Maybe then. ;)
ReplyDeleteI might try this...
ReplyDeletej'adore le concombre, je mangerais la coupe d'abord. cela donne envie.
ReplyDeleteI love the cucumber, I would eat the cup first. it gives desire.
yum =)
ReplyDeleteYour image looks inviting, but I'm not sure, maybe a try at the nice cup!
ReplyDeleteDid you try it?
ReplyDeleteI'm not that that i'll order that but if my friend do it, i'll test his dish .
Looks very mooshy - mooshi-mooshi to the dish (he-he).
ReplyDeleteI'd eat the wasabi.
Hilda, here is the link to Trader Joe's. http://www.traderjoes.com/ It's a small, very good value grocery store chain.
Oh it looks absolutely delicious. Sea urchins are very expensive in France with a wonderful flavour but I'm not sure they are worth the expense. I'd give this a try for sure.
ReplyDeleteGood question! It looks quite delicious but I'm not sure if I could eat it. The wasabi is great.
ReplyDeleteI think you and I should grab a bite down the street.
ReplyDeleteThese look delicious!
ReplyDeleteHilda, one of the CDP bloggers is missing! Please visit my page. Thank you.
Looks lovely...don't think I would eat it, but it makes a great photo.
ReplyDeleteI can and I have!
ReplyDeleteIt looks delicious.
I lived in Japan for 2 and a half years and love sushi, sashimi, etc. but I never developed a taste for uni! Bleh...
ReplyDeleteI'd probably pass too - it is the soy sauce and paste that puts me off.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, I have to see the sea urchin without the sauce. If it's slimy I wouldn't, if it's tender, yes.

ReplyDeleteThe cucumber cups were just used as containers. I don't think you're supposed to eat them! :)
Give me a place ?
ReplyDeleteI've had sea urchin in China, but I don't think I would ever order it myself. The presentation of this dish is very good (I'm just not sure about the taste).
