Right in front of yesterday's InterCon stands the newest mall in the Ayala Commercial Center: Glorietta 5. It's so new, not all the shops and restaurants are open yet. It's not just a mall though since it also has office spaces—probably the five floors above the balconied levels. I like the building's stark, very graphic design.
Wow, this is more like it. I like the design of this building. I'll bet we'll be seeing more of it too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a pretty neat design. It seems smart to have office space too.
ReplyDeleteAs you have said before, they like the shopping malls over there!
ReplyDeleteHere shops are closing in our shopping centres, the trouble is finding businesses to go back into the empty units.
I like the architecture. The design is simple yet elegant. It reminds me of some Japanese furniture. I would really like to get a whole new Japanese bedroom suite for my room but chances are I will end up dead on the blonde set we bought when we first got married in 1955. It works but is out of style. Sorta like a pony tail during the Depression or a crew cut in the choir.
ReplyDeleteThe design is quite striking. And an interesting concept to have office spaces above.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have a plethora of very nice places to shop, e.g. malls, in Manila.
In Minneapolis there is a Mall of America. You should have a Mall of Manila. Better alliteration for sure!
Poor guys at those offices :) Just couple of floors down there is light and fun and palms and pretty - and they are stuck in their cubicles :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks very modern and new!! I'm sure it be fun to explore.
ReplyDeleteune belle architecture moderne, j'aime bien le style de l'enseigne
ReplyDeletea nice modern architecture, I like the style of the sign well
I like that the name is written in cursive! Adds flair to what otherwise looks to me like a big box! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI believe I will make a fascinating trip in Philippines.
ReplyDeleteAt present I can travel with your Blog ;-)
Malls aren't my things, but this building doesn't look rustic as mostly malls around the world.
MAnila is a big city indeed! This building is cool and I loved the lights of the city in this shot! Perfect!

Really a beautiful building: elegant, modern and with an appealing name.
ReplyDeleteI like the look of the building too. Simple, yet elegant.
ReplyDeleteThat is really a nice building.
ReplyDeleteCan you send one over to Jerusalem? :)
I like the splash of red from the name on the building - gives it personality. It's neat that they have office spaces on the top floors. That's a good use of space.
ReplyDeleteI guess this means a new stomping ground for you to discover! It does look like a nice mall. It seems you have an endless supply of them!
ReplyDeleteIt really does stand out. Simple, understated, effective.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly doesn't look like any of the malls around here! Very nice.
ReplyDeletemasmaganda nga malls natin kaysa sa ibang bansa. sa atin kasi mixed use. :)
ReplyDeletegreat feature!
the red lettering is very cool!
ReplyDeleteive strolled there many times good that it has an underground connection to the old glorietta.
ReplyDeleteI like the first half of the building because you can see the lights between the tree canopies.
