Another 5th

Right in front of yesterday's InterCon stands the newest mall in the Ayala Commercial Center: Glorietta 5. It's so new, not all the shops and restaurants are open yet. It's not just a mall though since it also has office spaces—probably the five floors above the balconied levels. I like the building's stark, very graphic design.

  3. As you have said before, they like the shopping malls over there!

Here shops are closing in our shopping centres, the trouble is finding businesses to go back into the empty units.

  4. I like the architecture. The design is simple yet elegant. It reminds me of some Japanese furniture. I would really like to get a whole new Japanese bedroom suite for my room but chances are I will end up dead on the blonde set we bought when we first got married in 1955. It works but is out of style. Sorta like a pony tail during the Depression or a crew cut in the choir.

  5. The design is quite striking. And an interesting concept to have office spaces above.

You seem to have a plethora of very nice places to shop, e.g. malls, in Manila.

In Minneapolis there is a Mall of America. You should have a Mall of Manila. Better alliteration for sure!

At present I can travel with your Blog ;-)

Malls aren't my things, but this building doesn't look rustic as mostly malls around the world.

  15. I like the splash of red from the name on the building - gives it personality. It's neat that they have office spaces on the top floors. That's a good use of space.
