Yet another
Looks like the lovely shopping and dining promenade that is Eastwood City Walk is not enough to serve all the residents and tenants of the many condominium and office towers of Eastwood City. Megaworld, the property developer, recently opened Eastwood Mall in the middle of a ring of towers, some of which are still being constructed. Some of the shops in the Walk have transfered to the mall, including the cozy A Different Bookstore (whose new store is no longer as cozy, unfortunately). The shops and restaurants in the mall are more upscale (Crisostomo is on the second floor of the mall, just above where the young girls are) and seem to be targeted to 40-somethings and older, while those at the Walk are trendier and younger. I guess I don't fit in their demographics—I still like the Walk better.

There really is no end to the shopping centers and malls there. It seems like you'll never run out. At least they put some real thought into the design.

These malls are so different, I can't say always beautiful, but really they try their best and ofter the results are charming, like this spot.
My granddaughter just asked me what kind of weather was in the Phillipines and I told her tropical like Florida only hotter and more humid. She said, "Oh." And then she wanted to know about cities and I told her about Manila and how it was in World War II and now. She listened intently. I don't know what the question and answer session was all about but something was on her mind.

This shopping center, today, reminds me of a theme park pavillion. Why are humans so enamored with stores? Great photo though!!!

Amazing Hilda! Here we are struggling to support only two malls. One of them is losing though and I'm afraid it won't be long before it's gone.
