Proudly Pinoy

Way back in June of 2008, I posted a photo of one of my favorite mall stores which specializes in Philippine handicrafts. Happily, I discovered a similar shop, albeit smaller and therefore with fewer choices, very near our house. The Turista Shop sells small handcrafted wooden furniture and home accessories, woven baskets and mats, handmade paper, jewelry, soap and candles, and bottled delicacies and non-grape wines from all over the country. I love going there every now and then just to see what's new.

    The clock looks cute.I think those beautiful candles are scented ones. Those will be nice pasalubongs. Thanks for the link.

    This looks like a neat shop. Sometimes smaller stores are much more interesting than larger ones. I like your collage.

    These shops are so much fun. Our downtown area has some interesting shops. It's fun to park the car and just walk from shop to shop.

    I like this kind of shop and this more than many other I have seen. I would be curious to check every single item there. The raw wood furniture is great!
