The oriental side

A contender for yesterday's theme day post because of the servers waiting for diners to sit on their side of the large restaurant that is Spiral in Sofitel Manila. If I didn't know any better and if it weren't for the wrought iron detail of the counter, I wouldn't have thought this was the same restaurant as this.

    I thought this restaurant was splendiforous when I first saw it...this just confirms I was right. Looks lush and lovely. But where are all the people or are the waiters waiting for them?

    Wow, this place is gorgeous. Such detail everywhere you look. I think my food would get cold while I was looking at everything.

    Yes, it's very different. That's some sweeping staircase in the other photo. Looks a very welcoming place somehow, soft lighting, nice colours.

    Hilda I just read on Rob's blog that you lost your little dog a week ago.Just wanted to say how very sorry I am. It will get easier but it takes time. My dog is having major surgery tomorrow - he's on morphine at the moment - so fingers crossed for him. Meanwhile, consider giving a shelter dog a home.We never run out of love for a dog and you can do it in memory of the one who has left you. They so need homes and give you so much love, you'd not believe it. My dogs are both shelter dogs and I'd never get a puppy again. A shelter dog will light up your life.

    This, too, is a great picture for the waiting theme. It does look like a different restaurant from the picture you posted earlier.

    Yes, this would have been good too. I really like the ceiling lights. Though the whole place looks really nice.
