I do not know anything about this boat, even its name, which was just a string of numbers that my brain refused to remember. I just like how catamarans look. It was docked near Harbour Square last weekend when we went to the Cultural Center of the Philippines to watch The Nutcracker performed by Ballet Philippines and accompanied by the Manila Symphony Orchestra.
You captured the night scene very well Ms. Hilda.
ReplyDeleteThe place looks romantic and I feel like spending one of my nights there.
Hmmmm I'm thinking of something else. :)
I am so glad you like catamarans and that you stopped to photograph this boat...this is such a good photo. I like the sharpness of the boat, the glistening water, the lights and the reflections. Heck, what is there not to like?
ReplyDeleteDid you hand hold the camera or did you have a tripod?
The lighting makes it very dramatic! love the stillness of the dark water, too!
ReplyDeleteune belle photo de nuit de ce voilier, une belle invitation a prendre la mer...
ReplyDeletea beautiful night photo of the sailboat, a beautiful invitation to sea ..
Hilda, this is a wonderful night shot. Didn't you get a new camera not too long ago? If so, hang on to it. Your photos have really been good lately.
ReplyDeleteI love any kind of boat and catamarans are so unusual here. A very good night shot.

ReplyDeletehi hilda! love this shot! are you sure it's in manila? the night scene is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love them too Hilda! That is a gorgeous shot with the reflections of the lights in the water. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI must echo what everyone also thinks about this shot, it's spectacular. The lighting really sets it apart. The cat is great but the overall setting is perfect.

ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!
Jacob:
ReplyDeleteNo tripod, but I did try to stabilize my arm on the big lamps of the promenade.
Halcyon:
I wish I could. But the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) has a strict no camera policy. You actually have to surrender your camera at the gate before they let you in. I can't share the lovely interiors of the CCP or any of its resident performing arts groups, including Ballet Philippines. :(
Nice shot, Hilda!
ReplyDelete«Louis» has been intending to get a photo of the catamarans that ferry passengers between Larkspur in Marin County and San Francisco. Maybe this will get him moving...
I find catamarans very fascinating. we see a lot of them in the water around here.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shot, Hilda
