I first posted a photo of this big, colorful, airconditioned jeepney in December 2008. I've seen it several times since then but only late at night, parked at the end of its tours in Harbour Square. I finally saw it in use at Bonifacio High Street. Apparently, the hop-on-hop-off route of Jeepney Tours includes many of the major shopping and dining centers of Metro Manila.
Must be fun to tour the city in it!
ReplyDeleteI remember the jeepney from your other post. It's so very cool!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are rather colorful. I remember these jeepnees while I was visiting your Country many years ago. The ones that I remember we not as big. Much smaller, but still very colorful. Don't remember taking a ride in one, but I do recall seeing quite a few running up and down the streets.
ReplyDeleteSince I have never seen these "jeepnees" before, I first thought that they were so much different than what I was used to. Being in a strange Country, I saw many different things. It's part of what opened my eye's to the world. They were not air-conditioned, that I knew of back then.
Thanks for the memories, Hilda
