Glory
The beautiful stained glass window of Pinaglabanan Church, the St. John the Baptist Parish Church, under the peak of the ceiling between the narthex (entrance hall) and the nave (where the congregation sits). The biblical passage written on it is from the letter of Saint Paul to the Philippians, chapter 2, verse 10: "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven, on earth and under the earth."

This is stunning!!! How gorgeous!
(a side note.....my son really enjoyed his visit to Borcay but probably won't go back...he went to get engaged and he did...they had a fabulous hotel venue and he loved the beaches but he is not into partying as much as he used to be!!!--they do grow up eventually!)
One really has to enlarge this to get the full impact of it. It is an incredibly beautiful piece(s) of work...but that I though interesting is the lack of reds and oranges ... the colors are quite muted and cool.

I can imagine the hours that must have taken. Amazing craftsmanship. Jacob is correct in that it should be seen full size to be fully appreciated. Happy Sunday.
