Last year, I showed the entrance to our barangay center, which includes our local government unit's offices and meeting hall, a senior citizen center, playground and sports facilities. The covered basketball court gets transformed into our voting precinct during elections. The small yellow building on the right is a gym which, for a small fee which goes into its maintenance, any resident can use.
How nice to have a government center that provides so many amenities for various people! I don't know of anything similar here.
ReplyDeletehow i wish we have that little benefits like you do.
ReplyDeleteunfortunately, it doesn't apply to everyone, from where i'm situated, an old publlc school will be converted as voting precinct and the side street = basketball court.
i guess, you could say it's not yet well-funded here. ^0^
Agree with the above, that it is indeed impressive and nice to see that a government is able/willing to do that.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful Friday you all.
Nice!
ReplyDeleteHere in Albany, the State School for the Blind is where we vote. Given our politics locally, state-wide and nationally, that venue is appropriately symbolic...
You are very lucky to have local facilities to accommodate such a wide range of activities. Here in Oregon, we vote strictly by mail.
ReplyDeleteMany here in Washington vote by mail too. I think that is what many areas are headed for.
ReplyDeleteWonderful facilities that can be used in different ways! It must be nice to have the roof when it rains :)
ReplyDeleteThe people there are so lucky to have that facilities.
ReplyDeleteAgainst Gray Sky
That is a good way to make use of space.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting insight.
ReplyDeleteWell organized! And I'm impressed to see no litter! Someone is keeping the area tidy.
ReplyDeleteHi Hilda, I'm sorry I missed your anniversary so here come some belated wishes!
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool, it's a bit like the "salles communales" in France. Anyone can rent them from the city to organize weddings or dos.
