Billions served

McDonald's was first brought to Manila by businessman George T. Yang in 1981. It now has close to three hundred branches all over the Philippines; some are company-owned and some are franchises. The bigger branches have any or all of the fastfood giant's additional services: McCafé, PlayPlace, drive-through, or being open 24/7, including holidays! In Metro Manila and a few other cities and provinces, McDonald's also offers 24-hour delivery. What's your country's McDonald's like?

  1. On general principle I refuse to eat at them. But they've been doing the McCafe thing here. They have been giving away free coffee for some time and it's surprising to me just how many people I see walking around with McDs paper cups in their hands.

  2. Delivery, huh? That's interesting because I think we Americans tend to think everything is done OUR way all over the world. (Oh, wait, different fast food restaurant. :-) ) Anyway, I met a man from Britain last winter and when I asked him what his favorite American food is he told me McDonald's!

  4. There's a McDonalds just 600 meters from my office. I've never gone there for lunch during the work week. In fact, I can't remember when I even went there. They have a big playland in ours.
But I do like French fries....

  6. We do have a McDonald's here at General Trias but with the vastness of our Town, the easiest and fastest way to grab that Big Mac is thru Tanza. I'm not that much of a fan of McDonald's to be honest (Except their Happy Meals which I dedicatedly collect when I was a child) because the food seems so Mechanical to me? I'm so weird right? Hahaha I don't know. I'mm not comparing it to Jollibee but I think Jollibee's food has more heart to it. Much more Homey as for my taste :D

On the other hand, my friends go Gaga for McDonald's They so love it there! Especially their McNuggets and Cheeseburgers, they go crazy about it!

I missed it in here Hilda! BTW, I'm still waiting for my interview at my school. I hope I can make it so I can start teaching this June :D

  7. In France, they are popularly called "McDo", though the stores look like they do everywhere around the world.

  9. In my university time, we used to invite the McDonald marketing team to present their business strategy, and they claim that they always use best meat, best veggie.. why still call as Junk food. So far, I still not understand about this.

    Anyway, beautiful capture!

  10. My small town in Germany is belatedly experiencing the "expensive US coffee invasion". First Starbucks, and then, presumably in response, McDonalds moved to newer premises with a McCafé section, where you get bagels and coffee latte-

  12. I don't eat at Mackers, but I can say with certainty that ours do not deliver. You'll have to drive in yourself for service.
