Gray and green
The looming 35-story residential condominium along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City, which I first wrote about in March, is almost done. Only the pavilion on the roof deck remains unfinished. It's called the Berkeley Residences and the developer is the SM Group of Companies, the same company that filled Manila, and many other parts of the Philippines, with enormous malls. The Philippines is still in the middle of its monsoon season and our skies look like this, or worse, almost everyday. It's a bother, but as long as there are no devastating typhoons, I don't mind much—just look at that wonderfully green grass!

Green - the colour of hope. Over here, there have months passed without a single drop ... have to admit, that I long, crave for rain. Please have a good Friday.
daily athens
I wonder if the views from up there is as stunning as I imagine it would be.
Stay dry - go malling :D
Happy weekend.
That's an imposing building all by itself, but maybe not for long. so much like that greenery about the place. Have a good SWF Friday.
Thanks for the visit.
the endless rain is driving me nuts! the green and gray make a nice combination.:p

the last of the greeneries in Manila? ... very pretty contrast...
My SKYWATCH here
Maganda pa rin kahit gray ang sky. That lush green is wonderful indeed!
Looks as grey as here in Belgium ;)!
A great combo of colors... Nice shot!
So much lovely green space. And as you say, the green is the price you pay for the grey skies.
The monsoons can't last too much longer, I hope.
during the rainy season, the grass lawn can be the most interesting subject. grat sho on this!
I do not know if I want to the thank the rain for the green grass! We need the much needed rain for the summer heat.
I love Long Beach, this area seems like a city by itself. I think it never sleeps!
Actually I really like all the layers I see in the clouds, Hilda! And with lovely rolling grass like that, you can't complain much :D
Happy friday!
Lovely picture!
Excellent shot,
Great!

P-TER
Does this new building offer affordable housing? I hope so. It's a shame when cities only seem to build housing for a certain class of people.
I like the contrast of the sky and the lawn. Happy Friday!
Do you remember the first scene of Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odissey"? First thing crossing my mind when I looked at this photo. :-)
Great sky-watch Hilda!
Enjoy your weekend.
xo
I wish our grass was as green as this. I had a picture of cloudy skies as well. I just hope the typhoons continue to stay away from you.
Nice shot. It is lonely at the top there.
