Open wide!
Another childhood favorite in the playground at the Rizal Park is this hippo. My sister, cousins and I felt like we were on top of the world when we were sitting in his open mouth. Now, I don't think I'd even fit in the tunnel in his chest. I think he needs a (paint) bath too—he looks like he's been wallowing in the mud for too long.

A little hosing down would be good for him...and hippos love water (or so I've been told).
He looks a bit frightening...I wonder if any kids are afraid of him.
Isn't it fun to relive some childhood memories - at least the good times?

Um, hello there. I've been here too. I just wonder if my bayad pa diyan?ahahaha. I am planning to come back ther again, the go in that playground:)
That would be an unusual temporary job to get--washing the hippo.

Hip! Hip! Hooray! I thought I'd look you up during my luchtime to be sure of getting a word in! It certainly is impressive and I can imagine some children being a little intimidated. Thanks once again for your visits!

Dear Hilda, I also agree with brattcat words, and my daughter loves so much Hippos, she has "un hippo en peluche", it's adorable!

What a great place to play. At first I thought that was supposed to be mud on his back, but now I agree with you that he needs a new paint job.
He looks like he has seen a few years but - amazingly after all the kids climbing on him - he still has some teeth
