The Spanish era walls of Intramuros are wide enough in certain areas to accommodate a simple stage for public cultural presentations organized by the Intramuros Administration.

    I am constantly amazed at how wide the walls of some of these colonial fortifications actually are.

    Yes, they are wide and make York's fortifications look a little fragile in comparison.
