Orange

row of water meters in a metal cage Near the entrance of an alley which leads to a poor community, the water meters of a row of apartments are locked in a metal cage whose base is cemented into the ground. The cage helps prevent three things: coconuts falling on and damaging the exposed pipes, illegal tapping into the water line, and stealing of the steel meters for resale.

So interesting - I wonder if I've seen anything like that around here. I like the colors and graphic nature of the capture!

(Oh to answer your question from last week - sorry I've been away on travels! - I wish I knew if those vines were really painted on or not...even up close, I couldn't tell! I'm assuming they're real & not painted colors:)

The cage looks as if it will do its jobs. I like the lines in your photo.

It's sad that so often we need cages to be safe! I'm surprised, though, that someone hasn't just cut through the cage and stolen the meters!

We have issues where I live where thieves steal the copper piping and valves on sprinkler systems that water the lawns (it's so dry here that everyone has them). Your post makes me think of that.
