Black Soup Cafe may be small, but it set aside space for musicians to perform in, and welcomes exhibits from artists, whether established or new. I love that. I love local spaces like this, that exhibit artists and performers. We've a small one here in town, also locally beloved (and excellent coffee to boot:). Happy Valentine's to you!

There's a cafe in Eustis, Florida that has a similar setup. I think these add a lot to a community - not only giving budding artists a place to display their talent but by providing locals a place to get together in a welcoming environment!

I like this arrangement too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young and thought I was the next Rembrandt, I exhibited and sold my paintings anywhere I could.
One of the best places for me was a motel's restaurant and bar. I would have to take a new batch of oil paintings there every week or sometimes twice a week to fill up the spots where patrons bought my paintings.
This looks like a wonderful place to enjoy some good food in a great atmosphere.
