Two of the Philippines' most popular mobile phone service providers have
cell sites inside the Quezon City campus of
Ateneo de Manila University, located on a field near the
Manila Observatory. Part of the deal is, the observatory gets to place some of their weather and atmospheric instruments on the towers. The spindly tower on the right, as well as the white and brick building beside it, belongs to the observatory.

Yep, we have towers like that here in the States, The funniest ones are those the companies try to disguise as pine trees. :-)
They sure are ugly, see them everywhere these days.
is it a good deal?
«Louis» was very happy to see that you visited San Francisco Bay Daily Photo.
An interesting photo. I don't think these pose a health hazard...or do they?
Re your comment about bougainvillea: It's tough to grow here 'cause we do get occasional freezes in the winter. We had some at our old house in Ocala - it was on a fence by the pool. It died out every winter and looked awful for for several years came back. One winter it was just too cold and never revived. I had to cut it down and pull it out...terrible job. I got thorns stuck in me all over and branches would fall in the pool. It grows very well in south Florida, though.
