CITY DAILY PHOTO THEME DAY: PEDESTRIANS CROSSING • A few people use the pedestrian crossing on Buendia Avenue near the corner of Taft Avenue (both major roads in the City of Manila and the site of two light rail stations), but they are more the exception than the rule. Most drivers don't mind the crossing either.
Doesn't look particularly pedestrian friendly. Would be too busy for me...dangerous, too.
ReplyDeleteCrossing where the rules are ignored.
ReplyDeleteLooks kinda dangerous. Dodge them cars. MB
ReplyDeleteI agree, looks dangerous.
ReplyDeletePhew, they're brave pedestrians! Much braver than I would ever be:)
ReplyDeleteCrossing that street would take a leap of faith! The pop of color from their clothes and shopping bags adds a nice touch to the photo.
ReplyDeleteIt does look treacherous! Hope you had a nice Easter, Hilda.
ReplyDeleteSomehow that's the same rule like here in Sarajevo!
ReplyDeleteYou really need to keep opened eyes around your head
Oh la! A bit too 'exciting' Hilda :) Good capture.
ReplyDeleteHaha, looks like dodging between cars is the way to go here!!
ReplyDeleteLook twice (or three times), cross once - quickly!
ReplyDeleteHappy Theme Day, Hilda!
I love the atmosphere you captured. Neat photo for today :).
ReplyDeletelooks like some strong winds tore parts of the roof off...nice entry, so much to see!
ReplyDeleteLove the punch of color with the red and white striped bags they are carrying. Happy Theme Day.
ReplyDeleteIt is almost the same here, most of the time...
ReplyDeleteLol, I agree with VP, same here...
ReplyDeleteBusy, busy, busy - in or out of the crosswalk, it seems! Good choice and color for theme!
ReplyDeletein the phil, the driver has the right of way 100% of the time. the pedestrian does gamble with his/her life when crossing the street.
ReplyDeleteGreat image, is a problem in big cities, run for your life! Saludos
ReplyDeleteEven in smaller cities like mine, people don't seem to like to be guided (herded?) by the crosswalks. A great photo Hilda. I felt myself leaning forward trying to get between the cars before they started to move again.
