A tiny
outrigger canoe attached to the outrigger of a larger canoe that serves as a ferry between islands. We call all outrigger canoes
bangka in
Tagalog, whether they're motorized or not, or whether they're big enough to carry 60 passengers or just two.
Love the sense of adventure this photo evokes.
ReplyDeletePerfectly framed photo!
ReplyDeleteI really like the blue of the small outrigger and that island on the horizon. This is a beautiful shot.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. I love the colors and the way the boat is pointed towards the open water.
ReplyDeleteA poetic image, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteLéia
60 passengers. I wouldn't have imagined such a thing. I guess I've only seen small outriggers. Love the way you composed this.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of the ferry crash...very sad!
I think is one of the safest kind of boats in the world. Very nice picture, by the way!
ReplyDeleteSo interesting, and so pretty!
