The street sign at the corner of Ongpin and Salazar Streets in
Binondo, Manila's Chinatown, is the fanciest in the area. With brightly colored little Chinese dragons atop the names, it is probably the most photographed street sign in the metro. I took a photo of it from the street but there was a huge red shop sign behind it which kind of drowned it out so I decided to take a photo of it from the other side. And immediately burst out laughing! I hope the
barangay council never corrects it!

a dragon, this is a great sign
Ay baliktad hehehe.
Love the dragon! I hope they don't correct it either. How funny!
Hey, that's Pinoy humour for you!
Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come back tomorrow!

How funny! It should stay there!
Somehow it was kind of fitting - maybe it was meant to be that way. "Super- designers" would have made it so, and then charged you a fortune for it.
How clever that is. Neat.
I like it, too. Good eye and great shot!
Funny! I also like the dragon. I can see why this is one of the city's most photographed signs.
I hope they don't correct it. Too funny, these are the things I love more to shoot!
I dosen't matter if its a mistake or not... Its humorous either way:) Great shot, Hilda. Thanks for visiting!
Well spotted. Certainly makes an odd picture
Lol! Oh thats a classic!
A slight case of Dyslexia perhaps?
In any case if a very cool sign.
Well spotted! Hadn't thought of going round the back of some of these signs! Nice!
Cool picture!
NNNNNNN Nice :-)
Funny : ) good shot.
Very Pinoy.. but mistake or not, the name reminds me too much of the hopia there :(
I love it! I hope the sign doesn't get 'corrected'.
Maybe the sign maker was a Russian emigre who forgot and put in a Cyrillic letter by accident. Nah, it was probably just made late on a Friday afternoon and the boss said, no one will notice it.
Way to go Hilda. Let's all keep this secret to ourselves.
Ah, they probably wouldn't correct that. Dragon and all, it's such a trademark.
The first 'N' is nice :)
Odd indeed. Great photo.
Great shot I agree that that should not correct this. It will soon be in all guide books.
They have to let it be like that, it's good for all photographers!
great catch! I also like the lionfish and your ruins shots are spectacular to see. Thanks for your comments about the Frank Lloyd Wright Series. I was hoping it would be of interest to people. I have a few more days and then I will move on to different Chihuly, cactus and desert photos. I was in Morocco for the past two weeks so I wanted to make sure there was a series of something that would be informative and different for people to enjoy while I was away. Morocco was very interesting and, surprisingly, very French. A very different experience than Egypt or Jordan. It was a quite enjoyable trip. I will spend the next week catching up on everyone's websites and enjoying their photos. Thanks for your comments on my site. I have read them all.
Your Odd Shot is cool too Hilda! Thanks for stopping by & commenting on mine. I wonder if Dragonstar has seen your's yet since she loves dragons?
I love this - but then, I would!
hahha...when im in that area, hahanapin ko to. :)
lovely shot
I wouldn't have noticed or just thought it was a peculiarity of the alphabet!
Well spotted.
i also wonder if nobody really noticed that. hahaha...
I wonder how many people who look at that every day really see it. It took me a while.
Government work is it's own reward, Hilda.
Tu Manila es preciosa, lástima que hayais perdido un idioma como es el mio, aunque seguiré leyendo.
