Funky floor

The Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero Theather is the home of Dulaang U.P., the student theater group of the University of the Philippines – Diliman. Guerrero (January 1917- May 1995) was a Filipino playwright, director and teacher and was declared posthumously as a National Artist for Theater in 1997. The theater is located on the second floor of Palma Hall and surrounded by classrooms. I couldn't find information about Palma Hall but I think it is one of the campus' oldest buildings, and the Diliman campus was established in 1949. The tiles of the second floor lobby look like they are still the original.

It's beautiful!I also loved the colours of those chairs, they fit perfectly with the floor decoration.I think people there are very elegant in their choices, I'm always find here in your blog, pictures of fabulous places, charming coffees and restaurants, fine stores, and so on!

Ahh YOU are very charming my sweet Hilda!Sooo beautiful smile!
Léia
By the way , do you know any "good" site or some clue about "how to tie a tie"?I need to learn it to help Cezar in his mornings, I think he would be happy with it!

That floor is really something. Perhaps it was done that way to inspire students to dramatic highs.

The tiles are great and so is the text about the theater. Have you heard of Bino A. Realuyo, a writer established in NYC but who is from the Philippines......

I'm impressed. Interesting that it's up on the second floor. I like the tiles, too, though you might get a little dizzy looking at them too long! ;-)

The floor and murals are wonderful in the famous A.S. building. Do you have an pictures of the steps that lead to this building.

The pattern of tiles is very similar to the patterns I see in Native American designs. I'd have to say the colors are pretty funky too.

I love it Hilda. It sure beats the boring beiges, browns and greys I'm used to seeing. Is that a large mural on the left?
