He doesn't use a phone booth anymore

About ten minutes away from our house, there is a street corner that used to be notorious for purse-snatching. The robber was on a scooter and had victimized several people, including a friend of ours. Because of this, the barangay decided to put a security outpost on the corner. I have never actually seen a security guard posted there since it was finished, but neither have I heard about new purse-snatching incidents. I think the gaudiness of the outpost was enough to turn even the thief away.

That is funny! It looks like a child's playhouse. What thief would want to be seen there?

Hilda! I missed your Blog so much! And your post really amused me! Grabe!

It has been 7 months of absence in the Blogging world! Well, I know it was quite a while and it was hard to miss all your blogs but it was quite worth all of it because we passed our Undergraduate Thesis! My group's proposed Network Based Payroll with Biometrics timekeeping system was accepted! I am now a legitimate part of BSCS Batch 2010! So Happy!

Hope you still remember me! God Bless you and wait, I really hope you are all Ok from the flood! Bumaha sa ami pero hangang legs lang. Nagrabe jan sa Manila right? Hope you're all Ok there!

I sure think that this structure is too bright and colourful for a dark person of a thief.

Just the mere suggestion of Superman usually does the trick.

haha, think the superman logo scared them a bit. ^0^

Cute shot. I can see why the bad guy got scared away - I mean, who wants to tangle with Superman?

It certainly adds a blast of color to the street, if nothing else. The Superman flag is a nice touch.

The Media here are reporting that there has been quite a storm blowing through your part of the world. I hope you, and your beautiful city stay safe!

Since phone booths have virtually disappeared, I wondered what Clark Kent used. Now I know. What a fun post.

That is a cute little building, even if it is gaudy! I have been worried about you Hilda. The news reports here are saying that 80% of Manila is flooded. I was glad to see your comment on my blog. Stay safe!

I love the fact that they've put a superman logo on there. That's sure to keep the riffraff out!

I also like the term "waiting shed." It's quite descriptive!

The Superman guard post is wonderful Just hilarious but if it works who's laughing, right.

The world is still watching, holding our breath, worried about Manila and your country. 80% of Manila got flooded?? Horrible. So sad so many people lost their life. Is the water beginning to drain off?

Effective crime prevention, apparently! As long as it works, I'm all for unconventional methods.

I've been unable to comment for ages due to other commitments, but seeing the images of the flood on TV yesterday got me thinking of you straight away - I hope you and your loved ones are safe - take care xx

There's a Superman 'S' sign - Maybe he was scared away by the thought that Superman would get him! hehehe

I'm hearing a lot about the flooding there in Manila - Hope you & your family are safe!

That is odd! I've never seen the Superman logo in green, either.
