Nine for two

My husband and I finally tried one of the many Korean restaurants that had recently sprung up near our neighborhood. Woo Ri Jib means 'our house' so I guess that basically means home cooking too. The two dishes we ordered, a seafood noodle soup and vegetable-seafood pancake, were very good but what popped my eyes were the free appetizers. Nine! And as soon as we finished one (the bean sprouts—mmmmm!), it was immediately refilled. That taught us quickly not to clean out any other dish.

Nine!! There was no need to order the main course!

It all looks very delicious. Now I'm hungry! Why do you do this to us?!

All of it looks yummy except the chili.

Love the display! I've tried korean food only once during the EXPO 98 in Lisbon.

The plate on the very right side looks very yummy. Is it some filled rice noodle?

Hilda, you've got to stop these food shots! I think I'm gaining weight, 'cause every time you post one, I have this overwhelming urge to raid the refrigerator!

To me, that's 9 UFOs, unidentified foods.
Are the spoons really individually wrapped??

Looks delicious. It is about time they started opening some Korean restaurants over here in Germany, too.

Humm, I like korean food. There is a fantastic korean restaurant in Paris, don't know of any here in BCN unfortunately.

hey that looks really yummy.

but NINE appetizers seem a bit too much, don't you think? And then when are we supposed to taste the main course?

All my diet plans will go haywire if i so much as attempt to visit this place.

How generous. Are those whole chilli's?

Dina:
Yes, they are. And so are the steel chopsticks!

Christchurch:
Yes, whole chilies! I didn't dare try them.

Yummy! I tried Korean food in NYC in a restaurant where I was the only non-Korean. It was incredible and look similar to that in your photo.

I love Korean food, especially Korean BBQ and kimchi. You're so lucky to eat those healthy appetizers.
