I like how the roofs of the Grade School and High School departments of Miriam College, which older Manileños know better as Maryknoll when the Maryknoll Sisters ran it, blend so well with the trees in their campus. This was taken from the matching green pedestrian overpass in front of the school during a Saturday afternoon, hence the scarcity of cars and school service vans in the parking lot.
October's theme for City Daily Photo bloggers is Graffiti. That's going to be fun! Don't forget to vote for the November theme too!
The green does indeed blend in quite well.
ReplyDeleteIn our town in Arizona, someone actually sued neighbors down the hill from them because they put a white roof on their house, and the people up the hill complained that it reflected too much sun. The people up the hill lost the lawsuit.
Looks all in harmony indeed. Please have a good start into the new week.

A person really needs to look closely to see all the roofs. This is very good camouflage indeed.

ReplyDeleteThat's something to think about. Better green roofs among green trees or the bright red tiles?

A nice view. It's good when planners remember the details!
ReplyDeleteGraffiti. I'm going to have to look around for that!
Green is good for camouflage, but I read somewhere about the gazillion amount of energy we could save if we all painted our roofs white, or at least light.
ReplyDeletehee hee...
ReplyDeleteWill they paint the school busses in Camo Green next?
