Bridges around the world: Sunday Bridges

Cross on green
This is the pedestrian bridge that crosses Katipunan Avenue from Miriam College, which is exclusively for women from grade school to college. Like its neighbor, Ateneo de Manila University, the college keeps a security guard on or near the bridge for the safety of its students. The footbridge is basically of the same design as the one in front of the Ateneo a kilometer away which I posted last month, except that it doesn't have a roof. I don't know if it was done on purpose, but the bridge's green paint happily matches Miriam's school color.

Yes, the colour really does match the colour of the school.
It has a very original color!
Have a nice weekend

i like green! green is better than pink. :)
Nice shot Hilda! This really draws the eyes into the picture. :)
I like the color of this green. And I think the bridge looks better without a roof.
Nice capture!
Look so solid ! and I love the green tone in your image. Good one !
do you think it's being kept roofless for security reasons?
Nice colour - goes well with the trees in background:)
Have a beautiful Sunday!
I never went to and taught in a all girls school. Did you?
I think Manila could do a bit better with the designs of their crossover bridges (this grees IS better than most!), but I'm sure glad they started to build them! Now if only we could get everyone to cross them, instead of the busy roads below! :-)
High security bridge... That's good.
Hehehe Hilda! I thought when you took that photo I was right underneath that bridge, waiting for a tricycle.
I think foot bridges is safe if there is a vehicular traffic under.
Nice green touch!
Nice color, it also goes with nature! Have a great week ahead!
we pass under this bridge when i have business trip in quezon city as we usually take the c5 route.
i think it's better w/o the roof, like luna, it's better to be safe than sorry. ^0^
have a gr8 week ahead!
