D.I.Y. burgers

Another new little eatery in our neighborhood is The Burger Project. Choose your bun (whole wheat, potato, sesame seed), patty (tofu, chicken, beef), cheese, toppings and sauces. Quite innovative since most burger places here, franchise or independent, let you choose only the toppings and sauces at the most. The tofu burger was a disappointment, however; I'll try the chicken burger next time.

Tofu burger? No, I'd start with a chicken burger or a hamburger! We have "smashburgers" in Eagan ....

Tofu burger??? Tofu may have it's place gastronomically speaking, but between two slices of bread with ketchup and raw onion...I think not. Sacrilegious.

I wonder how the tofu burger tastes like...hmmm might be a good replacement for meat, good for vegetarians but I'd rather have the chicken burger or the cheeseburger.

The concept sounds foreign, but I've had good tofu burgers. They can be excellent if done right. Bison burgers are my favorite. Leaner than beef with a similar flavor. I don't know many places that have the flexibility that this one does. I wouldn't know where to begin!

It's really a great concept and the best choice in consideration of the big burger companies.

That's called creative evolution of fast food. In Spain it is discussing the possibility of banning children's menus (fast food) do not carry toys.

Good idea. I'd love to go through there at least three different times.
