At your own risk

pedestrian crossing at Buendia corner Taft Avenues CITY DAILY PHOTO THEME DAY: PEDESTRIANS CROSSING • A few people use the pedestrian crossing on Buendia Avenue near the corner of Taft Avenue (both major roads in the City of Manila and the site of two light rail stations), but they are more the exception than the rule. Most drivers don't mind the crossing either.

Doesn't look particularly pedestrian friendly. Would be too busy for me...dangerous, too.

Crossing where the rules are ignored.

Phew, they're brave pedestrians! Much braver than I would ever be:)

Crossing that street would take a leap of faith! The pop of color from their clothes and shopping bags adds a nice touch to the photo.

It does look treacherous! Hope you had a nice Easter, Hilda.

Somehow that's the same rule like here in Sarajevo!
You really need to keep opened eyes around your head

Look twice (or three times), cross once - quickly!
Happy Theme Day, Hilda!

Love the punch of color with the red and white striped bags they are carrying. Happy Theme Day.

It is almost the same here, most of the time...

Busy, busy, busy - in or out of the crosswalk, it seems! Good choice and color for theme!

in the phil, the driver has the right of way 100% of the time. the pedestrian does gamble with his/her life when crossing the street.

Great image, is a problem in big cities, run for your life! Saludos

Even in smaller cities like mine, people don't seem to like to be guided (herded?) by the crosswalks. A great photo Hilda. I felt myself leaning forward trying to get between the cars before they started to move again.
