Among bigger cousins

I was trying to get a photo of the sunset across the breakwater that protects the Manila Yacht Club when these two guys in a little bangka (canoe) rowed past. Now I'm forever left wondering where they came from—the breakwater extends all the way to the shore on that end—and what they were doing.

  14. Hilda, this is probably one of my favorites of all your photos; and that canoe passing through the frame is the maker of this photo ... Of course, the sky is fabulous. It reminds me of the wonderful Manila sunset I've seen with my own eyes.

  18. A nice shot, I like the light source coming from the side rather than straight on, it makes for a more interesting composition.

  22. Long time no see! (That's a chinglish greeting)
    Hilda,
this is a beautiful image, if it weren't for the industrial clue on the background(I mean the big yatch), I could have mistakened this for our Westlake!

  23. They look like they are paddling through liguid gold! Thanks for visiting my blog. To answer your question about the gazebo, it is along the trail that we hiked on. There are several of them with information posted on billboards inside. Also, if you go back to the comments section on my blog someone who worked there answered your question in more detail. Happy Skywatching!
