Franchised Italian

Italianni's, a member of the same group of restaurants that owns T.G.I. Friday's, styles itself as a family-style restaurant, which basically means that their servings are huge! This is the interior of their Bonifacio High Street branch. The last time I ate there was with my sister and we had the Spinach & Artichoke Formaggio and the Grilled Squid Salad. Yummm!

  3. I love the interior, the table cloths and warm glow.
We had a restaurant in San Diego like that and I can't think of the name of it now to save my life. I think it starts with a B,lol...now I'm going to be trying to remember it all day, ugh!

  4. It looks just like a family restaurant...that isn't a real fountain in the background, is it? I've looked and can't decide if it's real or a photo..

  6. I'm catching up with my reading of your blog, Hilda. Missed quite a few interesting post in the past four days. That red tower of the Manila City Hall is very interesting. I like it.

  8. We don't have a fully Italian restaurant here. Just some pasta here and there. Oh, and, well, pizza.

It's a painted mural of Bernini's Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi. Wikipedia has a photo here. Pretty good mural, isn't it? I love how the artist got the water flowing on the fountain.

  10. Hi Hilda, It looks good. Hope the food tastes good as well. I've never heard of Spinach & Artichoke Formaggio though. Is it spinach and artichoke with cheese on top? Sorry I'm a bit fussy with Italian restaurants abroad...and with "abroad" I mean all Italian restairants outside Italy...Not many good ones in the UK, I can tell you! Ciao. Antonella

  13. It looks really cosy - love those checkered tablecloths.

Hard to believe it could be owned by TGIFriday's. I don't really like that place... although it doesn't matter much b/c we don't have one here in Jackson! :)
