The distinctive tower of the Manila City Hall, which was designed by Antonio Toledo in the 1930s. As seen from the passenger side of our car, through the windshield, from across Padre Burgos Street. Taking pictures while desperately trying not to be a great nuisance to my husband who was driving.
Hi Hilda, The tower looks beautiful, very Spanish in a way, athough its inclination remind me a bit of the leaning tower of Pisa!!! Have a great weekend. Ciao. Antonella
ReplyDeleteune belle "tower clock" j'aime beaucoup cette couleur rouge, et avec ta perspective on dirait une fusée prête a partir ;o)
ReplyDeletea beautiful "clock tower" I love the color red, and your perspective on like a rocket ready to go ;o)
Nice catch!! Your description makes me laugh because I do annoy my husband with taking photos. I make him drive me around or go around town just for photos pretty often.
ReplyDeleteA great driveby photo! Pahiram?
ReplyDeleteDoes the clock work well now?
you've captured the leaning tower of Manila! This looks so unlike the buildings you've shot. I like it. Tell your hubbie you've got work to do!
ReplyDeleteI love this roof. Great photo Hilda.
ReplyDeleteIt is an interesting color on the clock's face. I suppose it has to do with the architect. It is a nice photo too. Hope you didn't disturb your husband driving too much with you hanging out the passenger window.
ReplyDeleteHilda, I don't blame you for photographing this beautiful tower. It's wonderful. I agree that the angle reminds me of the leaning tower of Pisa!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors, don't you?
Beautiful tower! I like the contrast of the white with that dark red.
ReplyDeleteI envy you! 26ºC in Manila, while 15ºC here at the moment!!!
It's a beauty. at red face is so unusual.
ReplyDeletehi Hilda! Would you believe that the last time we were in manila I tried taking a photo of that same clock? We were riding a jeepney so I had to twist my body just to get a shot of that. Very touristy thing to do. Hahaha
ReplyDeletewish I had someone to drive me round to get photos - you might not see so many footpaths from me perhaps though - my competition result is up - no trolls but I loved the idea!
ReplyDeleteHello You !
ReplyDeleteIt's like a "rocket"... Very pretty the red colour...
See You later !
