North

I did some last-minute shopping yesterday and saw this charming Christmas Village at The Block in SM City North EDSA. You wouldn't believe how long I had to stand with my camera at the ready to get photos of each without all the people posing in front of them.

The snow in these scenes must be more than a little incongruous in Manila! ;-)

I wonder how one is chosen to design Santa's various mall villages. It looks like it would be fun. Not one shopper in any of your photos...unbelievable.

Thank you very much for this little 'escape' into a village so mistical it is rarely seen.
Thank you also for the effort you did make to take these nice pictures.
Please have a wonderful Tuesday.

Hilda, the shopping you did yesterday was not "last minute." Last minute Christmas shopping would be shopping that you do the day after tomorrow. You must be an organized person.

My wife and I buy all our presents on our travels, wrap them and put them in the closet. We never have to do any last minute shopping. We just go into the closet to retrieve gifts.

How sweet these are, how patient you are. Someone, or several someones, worked hard on these decorations. It's nice to know they are appreciated, even if it meant you had to wait, wait, wait for these perfect shots.

Excuse me, Ma'am, but I'd like my photo taken in front of the Frosty Shop .....

Great shots...worth waiting for. Although I don't promote (or do) a lot of shopping, I do enjoy being around a lot of people and seeing all the Christmas decorations. This seems worth a trip to the mall a few days before Christmas.

To answer your questions...Yes, that picture on my blog was taken in front of our chapel...and the that Noble Fir is about 12 years old. They usually grow about a foot a year and many of our Christmas trees come from Oregon and Washington. Thanks for visiting and I pray that you will have a blessed Christmas.

I imagine that it took 1/2 of your shopping trip to get 'people free' photos. Great series of shots.

You and half of the people inside the mall! The Frosty Shop was the most popular and the longest I had to wait for. And I only managed to get this single 'people-free' photo.
