Ramen

We've eaten at Rai Rai Ken Ramen House and Sushi Bar in Harbour Square so many times yet it was only during our last visit there that I noticed that their chairs are carved with their logo. Duh.

You have to be very proficient with chopsticks to be able to grasp a noodle, no? :)

Ramen and sushi - oishi desu yo! You've been focused on the food, not the chairs before now! Is that so strange?

As puffy as the cheeks are, you can almost hear the air <3 cooling off the noodles!

As you snapped the photo, surely the waiter was thinking, "What on earth is that woman doing?"

It's always amazing what we see ... and don't see. I like this carving very much. Do you think each chair was carved individually or do you think the logo was done by machine?

What an interesting logo -- the detail is fascinating. I like the warm color in your photo as well.

Love this post, Hilda! Asian noodle shops and wood-carvings, two of my favorites. :)

I must have taken quite awhile to hand carve all of the chairs. That's a very unique logo.
Have a nice day, Hilda.

Ms. Hilda, I'm so sorry for the late replies. I was lazy to log in. I spent my first few days in Manila shopping. hehe. I want to meet you but I'm currently in the province. I'll try to come at the Ateneo when I go back to Manila next week (?). Sige po. Ingat and God bless:)

A further proof that the eye 'eats' as well. Hope that the dinner was fine and that you all are having a beautiful Sunday.
