7:15am. Waiting for a colleague at the
Starbucks across the
Ateneo de Manila University to go to a conference in Makati City. Sitting in the sun because anything lower than 24°C makes me shiver. Staring at the school rush hour traffic (grade schools and high schools usually begin classes at 7:30am). This is probably the closest I will ever get to posting a sunrise photo on this blog.
What?! Where's your scone or doughnut?! Oh, you ate it already!
ReplyDeleteWow Hilda! Starbucks could you this photo as an Ad! Love it! BY the way, I hate the heat but early morning sunshine is like food for my skin, I love how it feels when I get out of the house to heat my skin up, it feels so relaxing!!!
ReplyDeleteSteven^^
Hilda, somehow I get the feeling you are not a morning person.
ReplyDeleteOkay everyone, just leave Hilda alone until she finishes her first cup. Then she won't hurt you. ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Hilda. I like the light coming across the table.
hello sunshine! ^0^
ReplyDeletenot a morning person also, but a lil coffee can spike up your morning!
haha, 7ish, i'm still sleepin! ^0^
Have a Starbucks coffee just before you go to bed. You won't have to worry about waking up early enough to catch the sunrise 'cause you'll be awake all night.
ReplyDeleteBut, this shot will do! It made me smile. Fun photo!
One of the commenter is right, this could be a starbucks ad image.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt your "Caffeine Meter" was happy to get the jolt to bring the needle out of the danger zone!
ReplyDeleteBack home in Germany, school does start as wel at 07.30 from fifth grade on; with about four months of winter, there are days when the sun won't shine at all or not before half past ten.
ReplyDeleteGuess you are lucky indeed. Please have a wonderful Wednesday.
Really love the early morning sunrise! The secret of all natural healing therapies.
ReplyDeleteI've seen about one sunrise in the last five years. lol I like the lighting in this picture.
ReplyDeleteI think you would freeze to death here.
lol, my word verification is coffe just needs an e.
Haha, I get the picture.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot... Starbucks is open at 7AM?! I wish we had Starbucks here. I miss my 2%-no-whip-quad-tall-mocha.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you appreciate a nice sunrise -:)
ReplyDeleteI start my morning at rtarbucks too, except at a7:15 I'm already on a train heading to work. 7:15 in your photo looks wonderful! Especially since it's 5 degrees here.
ReplyDeletetres bonne idée, j'adore. et puis un beau contre jour...
ReplyDeleteVery artistic. Yan ang correct term! Great capture Ms. Hilda.

Your post on not being a morning person and waiting in a Starbucks struck me as an example of how humans are more alike than different regardless of country of origin.
ReplyDeleteAs a lover of art, you will like our sharing of the "cup of freedom" bronze today!

ReplyDeleteAnd, wonderful shot! :)

This is about the time the nightlife here is winding down.
ReplyDeleteI like the subject of the post, the image and the title. I'm trying to get some sunrises now, but it's too difficult for me either...
ReplyDeleteHilda, you made me smile with the last sentence and the title of this post! :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have posted a single photo of the sunrise on my blog so far... Lol!
You wouldn't work here if you shiver at 23° C. It is mostly that in the summer when we think it is very nice. In the hot time in August it gets warmer but 75° F is fine weather.
ReplyDeleteAbout the garage and Hofacker's house...
Reply to Hilda...
This wasn't a garage. They moved into a garage and lived there and then built this place beside it and made it out of cement blocks. It is now covered, like much of America, with vinyl siding.
Great sunrise photo! Hope you enjoyed your Starbucks coffee.
ReplyDeleteThe light sure is pretty in this picture Hilda!
ReplyDeleteNice action shot on the other side of your coffee!
ReplyDeleteYour posting made me giggle. You and I sound alike, cant start your day without coffee, and hating to be up early ;) Have a good rest of the week!
ReplyDeleteWish I didn't see so many sunrises. Just let me sleep, please!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am not really a morning person either. I like your "sunrise" though. The light is great!
ReplyDeleteIt happends to me lot of times!
ReplyDeleteThis shot has a great morning feel to it
ReplyDeleteWell photographed, Hilda! The sunlight on the table and the cup with its shadow... SO the Starbucks' cup gets an own aesthetics.
ReplyDeletehahaha... looks like you deserve a great break in a beach to catch up the sunrise over a cup of coffee
ReplyDeleteYou make me feel like having a hot fragrant coffee...
ReplyDeleteI like how you blurred the background in this photo, Hilda.
Wait, are you saying you're not a morning person? ;D
It's -3 here right now. Are you ready to come?
