This is the PHINMA Plaza in Rockwell Center in Makati City, owned by the PHINMA Group, a holding company with investments in property development, construction products, education, energy, finance and business process outsourcing.
When I posted a photo of the headquarters of Nestlé Philippines back in June 2009, PHINMA Plaza was peeking beside it and I thought that the building was round. It turns out that only the facade is curved and the rest of the building has flat surfaces.
It took me almost a year to finally visit Rockwell Center again and fulfill your request, but VP, this one's for you.
i miss rockwell... always a great place to shop around. ^0^
ReplyDeleteThat's an attractive building.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the bday wishes. Yes, I hope to be around for a long time.
This is an interesting piece of architecture and I really like the way you've caught the different reflections in the glass.
ReplyDeleteSuch great architecture and design. The reflections on the glass is even great. Nice angles!
ReplyDeleteI do continue to dream about making a living as a window cleaner.
ReplyDeletePlease have a wonderful Thursday.
A very modern and glassy building...and I took like reflections in that second shot!
ReplyDeleteThose are some mega-huge, fancy pants buildings! I like the reflection in the second photo just above the Lufthansa sign!
ReplyDeleteI'd rather clean the CRs than clean these wall glasses in harness ... ouch! been to Rockwell but have not been here ... thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWonderful gentle lines in this skyscraper. I like glass buildings.
ReplyDeleteThat's some architectural design. Impressive.
ReplyDeletesuperbe immeuble de vitres, j'adore la dernière avec le reflet, on dirait un parent avec son petit enfant ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis building if more attractive than the typical modern building in the Stacked Ice Cube Tray School of architecture... ;-)
ReplyDeleteSuch graceful blue waves.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's some design. They've done a nice job designing such a pleasing building to look at. Definitely not an eye-sore.
ReplyDeleteI have to wonder how the layout of the offices are affected by the wave! Or maybe it's just the hallway?
ReplyDeleteThe window washing business must just be booming in Manila.
ReplyDeleteStunning wave indeed!
ReplyDeleteAll reflections are outstanding, this building is modern and massive!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you
Léia :)
Beautiful architecture !! Great shots !!And yes with me now your blog is having 250 followers !! Congratulations..
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of Windex!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Hilda - This is in response to your question about homes in The Villages...
ReplyDeleteThere is a wide variety...some small villas run around $200,000; smaller homes (not on a golf course) run between $200-300,000. Larger homes can go close to 3/4 of a million.
And golf course lots are much more expensive.
We looked in The Villages in 2004...found one nice home that started at about $187,000...but by the time they added the price of a "premium" lot, and other upgrades it was over $300,000!
Another home we looked at - a small, frame house - started at about $150,000...but it was on a golf course lot...the final price came to $235,000.
We didn't buy there.
I like the flow on the side of this building Hilda. It certainly is pretty and the reflections of the sky are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteA great building, then I was convinced it was completely round, but now that I can see it better I like it even more.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for these images, you have some fine high-rises there.
What a Handsome Building we have there Hilda! I haven't been to Rockwell yet (For real!) but I think I have it in mind how gorgeous it looks! Very Makati-y! jajajajaja Makati has always been an adjective to our culture! So Posh!
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday Hilda! The Presidential Candidates will have a forum on our University tomorrow! I'll be there :D God Bless!
Steven^^
I definitely like the look of this building. Very neat!
ReplyDeleteHilda, this PHINMA building resembles the Bloomberg building from the first photo I ever posted on NYC Daily Photo in 2006.

Son fotografias espectaculares.
ReplyDeleteSaludos.
I'm not very fond of glass towers, but I like the curves here and the first perspective which I think it's just great.
ReplyDeleteI see this design dominating a lot of new construction lately. It's a pretty interesting design and of course with all the glass windows, it lessens the need for electricity.
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually into this kind of architecture but I have to say this looks like a sleek building.
ReplyDeleteThis is another beautiful, modern building. Manila has some wonderful architecture.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
