A wave of glass

This is the PHINMA Plaza in Rockwell Center in Makati City, owned by the PHINMA Group, a holding company with investments in property development, construction products, education, energy, finance and business process outsourcing.

When I posted a photo of the headquarters of Nestlé Philippines back in June 2009, PHINMA Plaza was peeking beside it and I thought that the building was round. It turns out that only the facade is curved and the rest of the building has flat surfaces.

It took me almost a year to finally visit Rockwell Center again and fulfill your request, but VP, this one's for you.

    Hi Hilda - This is in response to your question about homes in The Villages...

    There is a wide variety...some small villas run around $200,000; smaller homes (not on a golf course) run between $200-300,000. Larger homes can go close to 3/4 of a million.

    And golf course lots are much more expensive.

    We looked in The Villages in 2004...found one nice home that started at about $187,000...but by the time they added the price of a "premium" lot, and other upgrades it was over $300,000!

    Another home we looked at - a small, frame house - started at about $150,000...but it was on a golf course lot...the final price came to $235,000.

    We didn't buy there.

    A great building, then I was convinced it was completely round, but now that I can see it better I like it even more.

    What a Handsome Building we have there Hilda! I haven't been to Rockwell yet (For real!) but I think I have it in mind how gorgeous it looks! Very Makati-y! jajajajaja Makati has always been an adjective to our culture! So Posh!

    I see this design dominating a lot of new construction lately. It's a pretty interesting design and of course with all the glass windows, it lessens the need for electricity.
