I first posted a photo of this tiny blue and white bridge in the Loyola Heights campus of the
Ateneo de Manila University for my
100th post way back in 2008. After two years, I finally took the time to cross it and find out if the greenhouse from my college days is still there. Though I've always remembered this bridge as being blue and white, I seem to remember that it had wooden floorboards back then. The sheet of metal that serves as its current flooring is so rusty that I almost didn't want to walk over it, for fear that it wouldn't be able to bear my weight. Curiosity won over safety. You'll have to come back tomorrow to find out what's on the other side, but I guess that it's only right to warn you that I was mighty disappointed. Oh well. At least the itch has been scratched and I also finally have a bridge for Louis'
Sunday Bridges. Yay!
I've blue and white, and Louis' Golden Gate Bridge is red—perfect for today. Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! Here, we celebrate it as
Filipino-American Friendship Day.

Happy Filipino-American Friendship Day!
I like the bridge but it doth appear to be a bit shaky!
I'll check back tomorrow.
Well, it looks like it leads to something interesting.
This can be a heritage bridge Hilda. It only needs a little facelift without defacing originality. Looks like there is a pot of gold at the end of the bridge. The view seems worth it!
i remember that bridge from my college days too! i never crossed it though :) i wish they would take better care of it

But it looks like it leads to some kind of enchanted place. Can't wait to see what it is!
the floor looks strong enough. i'm curious, too, what on the other side of this bridge.:p
Lovely color of bridge, what is on the other side?
Happy 4th of July to you too!
My Bangkok Through My Eyes
Great bridge..very wabi sabi. It seems to lead to a lush jungle of some sort. I'll be checking back to find out!
aha! i know this bridge! my atenista friends used to bring me to the other side of that bridge. haha. i can't remember though if we were stepping on wooden boards or metal sheets. I think it was already in metal sheets that time. :)
i can't wait for the next post! this certainly brings back my own set of college memories. thanks for sharing.
Okay, you know you got us curious as well to see your findings on the other side... :)
God bless you!

I can see why you were hesitant to cross this bridge; but can also see why you were compelled to do so.
What a nice little bridge !
That's a dream!
Looks like a lush place I need to go explore one day...
That is a cute little bridge. I am curious too.
I think I would have crossed the bridge cautiously too. BUT I definitely would have crossed it. :)
What a wonderful shot.
A lovely, GREEN bridge for Louis la Vaches' Bridge meme!
Very very brave, Hilda! That doesn't look too stable. But I love the blue and white handles and the small path ahead of it :-D
i can feel the excitement. ill definitely be checking your post tomorrow.
What a lovely spot! Nice one, Hilda!
This is a lovely teaser for tomorrow!
Happy Filippino-American Friendship Day, Hilda!
«Louis» is delighted that you were able to contribute to Sunday Bridges!
Cool bridge and I like the setting too.

Darryl and Ruth : )
I like your very nice picture.
This is such a beautiful scene, a gorgeous bridge and then the eye is drawn into the greeny. Just love it, Hilda. I'd love to take this walk.
Although the floorboard of the bridge might leave something to be desired the railings are quite pretty.
Happy Fil-Am Friendship day to you too! From a Filipino-American no less ;o) As for that little bridge, I wouldn't have been able to resist crossing it either.
o that is indeed a lovely little bridge.
