The performance of Wadaiko Yamato that we watched last Saturday (see Tuesday's post) was held in the Sky Dome of SM City North EDSA mall. Half of the dome looks like it is swathed in nylon fabric and the other half stuffed with carpeting. I'm sure it has something to do with acoustics.
Interesting. I don't know if I would want to be up there stuffing the stuffing.
ReplyDeletealways nice to look up and find something blogworthy.
ReplyDeleteenjoy the weekend.
Fascinating photo, and I'm sure you are right about the acoustics. How were they?
ReplyDeletehuman marvel.... thanks for sharing Hilds. have a great day!
ReplyDeleteVery cool photo. the lighting looks fantastic. Is the dome intended for concerts and musical performance or is it also for sport? I'd figure the fabric would absorb much of the sound.
ReplyDeleteNice photo, interesting building. I'm glad you're okay after the typhoon.
ReplyDeleteehehe and you thought of taking a picture out of it huh
ReplyDeleteYou brought out a jewel in that dome. Nice catch.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're right about the acoustics, but it does make for a very interesting photo.
ReplyDeleteThat dome was still under construction during the time when Dad was going in and out of the Veterans hospital...and I never had a chance to pass by it. I'll try to go there and see it for myself.
ReplyDeletesuperbe ce toit du dome, on dirait une araignée
ReplyDeleteLooks like interesting indeed. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteWell seen and well done, Hilda!:)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Strange!
ReplyDeleteI love all line, cool shot !
ReplyDeleteNeat! From the thumbnails, I thought it was a golden dome!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautifu dome! Grand by the look of it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, thank God your area was not much affected by the typhoon.
I didn't know about it until I read the newspaper from two days ago today.
(I've been avoiding news the past fews days ... So many negative things are in the news I'd rather not know about them.)
I really love this kind of structures, but it's a shame if the acoustic is bad...
ReplyDeleteGreat capture!
ReplyDeleteIt is so WOOW....
I love this!
I really like the way you descriped it "half stuffed with carpeting" :D
