Good morning! Pinoy breakfast favorites: tapa (dried or cured beef), tocino (cured pork) and longganisa (sausage, chicken in this case). With garlic rice and eggs (I like mine scrambled). Everything fried. Not the healthiest breakfast, I know, but oh so yummy! Don't forget the vinegar, garlic and siling labuyo (bird's eye chili) dipping sauce.
That is very different from my breakfast. Looks like you could survive the whole day after eating this!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a heavy breakfast which will last the whole day. In Malaysia, the fave drink to go with it will be teh tarik or 'pulled tea' but my fave drink for breakfast is 'kopi O kosong' meaning black coffee without sugar or milk.
ReplyDeletereminds me of my breakfast yesterday! silogs are really good.
ReplyDeleteYUM! That looks awesome. I always feel fuller longer when I eat a breakfast with rice and meat.
ReplyDeleteThis surely looks like a midday meal from over here, guess I'd love the sauce very much. Please have a great start into the weekend.

ReplyDeleteThat looks so good! It couldn't hurt if you had that maybe once a week. What a treat.
ReplyDeleteThat is a hearty breakfast in deed. Looks delicious.
ReplyDeletenow this is a hearty breakfast
ReplyDeleteGosh, it looks yummy indeed! We still use the same words in Spain today, you can get tocino and longganisa everywhere.
ReplyDeleteBut I really wonder about the life expectancy on a diet like this...
Nice shot for a supermarket magazine. Now to get my coffee and baguette!
ReplyDeleteUy saan yan!!!???
ReplyDeleteGusto ko nyan nakakagutum naman! =P
Haha. Such a different breakfast from my own yogurt in a bowl with some nuts and berries and granola.
ReplyDeleteWow...that'll stick to your ribs! Looks yummy. I wish my stomach could tolerate that type of breakfast.
ReplyDeleteyour making me hungry , yummy almusal.
ReplyDeleteI just had breakfast not too long ago and now your making me hungry again. Your breakfast looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit this "heart attack on a plate" looks very good. Reminds me a little bit of what our Denny's restaurants call their "Grand Slam."
ReplyDeleteOh this is so not fair! I'm sitting here in Pasadena, trying to lose a little weight, and you post this! lol! Looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteA yummy breakfast! I love tapsilog (of course the tapa is veggie beef) with sunny side up egg.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the week ahead?

Oh yum! One of my favorite things I remember eating in Manila is the garlic rice, because we don't regularly put garlic in our rice. Oops, my stomache just growled :D
ReplyDeleteWell, Hilda, you just succeeded in making «Louis» hungry...

ReplyDeleteOh Hilda, I've been here over 20 years, but I just can't do this breakfast! :-)
