The delicate pink stained glass windows of the
Chapel of St. Thomas More in the
Ateneo Professional Schools do not have obviously religious images unlike those in
other Catholic churches and chapels I've seen.
Urban or rural, natural or man-made, take a sightseeing tour of our world's diverse scenery!
You are correct. This is more secular than the typical church stained glass window. There are some rather modern stained glass windows on churches in France that we have seen that are more artistic than religious, including some by Chagall.
ReplyDeleteI think I prefer these artistic stained glass windows to the older busy stories of the apostles style.
ReplyDeleteEven though these windows may not have obviously religious symbols, they do invite serene contemplation of God's beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.

I like these better than the usual religiously inclined stained glass windows also. But what really makes this picture is the silhouette of the student! Nicely done!
