Not as tall as the abandoned building behind Quezon City Hall but in a more prominent location, this terraced eyesore stands on government property at the corner of one of the roads which radiate from the Quezon Memorial Circle. When the land was still empty many years ago, the rumor going around was that Ayala Land was negotiating to lease or buy it so they could build a mall there, which would have been their first in Quezon City. When this terraced structure went up, the rumors became even fiercer. Then construction stopped completely without any explanation, as is quite usual in my country, and the thing's been standing there since. Ayala Land did eventually build a mall in Quezon City and I don't know if there's any truth to the old rumor, but the design of certain parts of Trinoma sure look very similar.

Looks more mysterious in its abandoned form than yet another shopping mall
It's a pity to see the building in this way.I think it would be a modern architecture.

that's the prposed GSIS building at philcoa right? naku, i doubt that will ever be finished. plus, kinalawang na yung mga rebars nyan eh. pero good trivia yung sa ayala ha. it has some similarities to trinoma nga! :)
that's very noticeable there as it is located within the circle. i really wish a new modern structure stands there.
Sad to see abandoned buildings, but they make for interesting photos.
Its a waste of resources. Hope something will be done to revive it soon.
The mystery of it all make the building even more interesting, even if it's not complete :D
The same kind of thing happens in this country, too. It seems some developers bite off more than they can chew financially, or simply run out of money and it's cheaper just to walk away.
We had a big project planned to renew downtown Ocala...a contractor got the go-ahead and loans and then pulled out leaving a big mess for a couple of years.
Frustrating!
abandoned (again!)
i hope they do something about it.
sayang...tsk,tsk.
Ok I agree, an eyesore, but it makes for an interesting photo!
A piece of your architecture I don't like much, and you know this is unusual. Excellent title anyway!
It's a shame that this unfinished structure is standing in such a prominent location. It will be interesting to see what becomes of it.
