Adobe

wall made of volcanic rock What Filipinos call adobe is a naturally-occurring volcanic rock which shouldn't be confused with the Spanish/Mexican/American adobe of sun-dried earth.

Hmmm...that could be confusing. I think your adobe looks stronger and has more character than our adobe.

I probably agree with Lowell, that it is stronger, but I do love the rich color of Adobe in the American southwest.
